We offer a comprehensive, well-structured series of scheduled conferences to maximize the educational experience of our residents.

INTERNAL MEDICINE MORNING SIGNOUT: Daily
Daily forum designed to present and discuss recent patient admissions and to develop management plans based on the current standards of care (I-PASS form).

INTERNAL MEDICINE AND SUBSPECIALTY MORNING REPORT: 3x a week
Recent and relevant cases presented by senior residents with teaching points and discussion led by attending.

TEACHING ROUNDS: Daily
Patient-centered, educational rounds held for each GMF, Cardiology, and oncology resident teams.

DIDACTIC NOON CONFERENCES: Daily
A series of didactic sessions covering pertinent topics in Internal Medicine curriculum and its allied fields.

GRAND ROUNDS: Weekly
Experts present a lecture concerning current clinical issues. Invited visiting professors will meet with residents to discuss case vignettes.

BOARD REVIEW: Weekly
Formal Board Review sessions are held for PGY IIs and PGY IIIs, which will focus on high-yield board exam topics.

RAPID RESPONSE REPORT: Bi-weekly
Recent and relevant rapid response case presented by RRT senior to teach critical thinking and management in an acute setting.

MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY CONFERENCE (M&M): Monthly
MICU residents present a recent case to identify areas of improvement and promote integrity and ethical transparency in assessing and optimizing patient care.

CLINICAL PATHOLOGICAL CONFERENCE (CPC): Monthly
PGY II residents present cases posing a diagnostic or therapeutic challenge, with participation from subspecialty, radiology and pathology attendings.

JOURNAL CLUB: Monthly
PGY II and preliminary residents present recent, evidence-based articles pertaining to their field of interest. Research director is present to facilitate the discussion.
