Our mission for the Cardiovascular Disease fellowship is to provide an academically and clinically rigorous training experience resulting in board-eligible graduates with outstanding general cardiology skills.

The 3-year program offers a comprehensive array of advanced technologies but places special emphasis on the practical skills of physical diagnosis and cognitive decision making through evidence-based strategies. Our CVD faculty interact daily with the fellows during rounds, didactics, inpatient/outpatient diagnosis and management, and conferences.

Fellows will satisfy all requirements during training to be eligible for the ABIM cardiovascular disease board certification exam upon graduation. Our 5-year rolling pass rate is 100%.

In coordination with the appropriate ACGME Program Requirements and Milestones, the American College of Cardiology's COCATS4 training guidelines and Entrustable Professional Activities, the fellowship is designed to provide basic and clinical knowledge, procedural skills, clinical judgment, professionalism, and the interpersonal skills required as accomplished specialists who are prepared for independent practice independently in a private clinical setting or academic center.
