Vacation Opportunities
Unique policy allows residents to request vacation days off throughout the contract year in as little as 1-day increments. Per contract year, each resident is allowed:
- Four weeks (20 days) of vacation
- Three (3) personal days per contract year
Salary
Additional contracted benefits
- Lab Coats - Each resident will receive 2 lab coats per academic year, additional lab coats provided upon request. Laundry service for lab coats is provided at no cost to the resident.
- All residents will receive a meal stipend twice a year.
- Parking – On-campus garage parking is offered to residents at a discounted rate of approximately $50 a month. Reimbursement is provided to residents who commute using public transportation.
- On-call rooms - Provided to all residents.
Housing
Current rates:The Warren N. Barr Tower is a 20-story apartment building located on the campus of Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. The building includes studio, one and two bedroom apartments. The upper floors offer beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. The building also includes laundry facilities and a Fitness Room.
