Chicago life

Welcome to Chicago! Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center is located in Lakeview, one of Chicago’s most diverse communities, and just steps away from easily accessible public transportation. Wait! It gets better! Downtown Chicago is only a 10-minute commute from the hospital. In other words, quick and easy access to hundreds of award-winning restaurants, Michigan Avenue shopping district and many Chicago sites (the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago, Shedd Aquarium, Oceanarium and Adler Planetarium), to name only a few, is right at your fingertips.

The Medical Center is also a short distance away from many eclectic neighborhoods including Bucktown, Andersonville, Wrigleyville (home of Wrigley Field), Lincoln Park and Lakeshore, all with their own unique shops, cafes, restaurants and nightlife.

There are so many things in Chicago to enjoy: running or biking along Lake Michigan; participating in cultural and ethnic diverse activities in Chicago’s Chinatown, Greektown and Devon Street; frequenting the local Farmers Markets; supporting local professional sports teams, including the Bulls, Bears, White Sox and Blackhawks; soaking in the great views of the many spectacular shows Chicago has to offer (Air and Water show, fireworks and theater on the lake, etc.) and many more activities. So many fun things to do in our spare time – and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
