We understand the link between our changing climate and human health. As an organization dedicated to helping people live well, we will continue to do our part to reduce our impact on the environment while working to create a safe, healthy environment for our patients and neighbors now and for generations to come.
We’ve already made great strides in reducing our carbon footprint through green building and energy efficiency projects. But we’re not stopping there. In addition to continued aggressive energy efficiency work, we have also announced a commitment to power our health care operations with 100% renewable electricity by 2030.
Transitioning to clean energy reduces air pollution that is responsible for many chronic health conditions and mitigates the health impacts of climate change, supporting the health and wellness of our patients and communities.
We will also continue to reduce our environmental and climate impacts in the way we serve our patients, care for our associates, purchase products and services, operate our facilities and reduce our waste.
