There are a total of ten reproductive endocrinologists at Fertility Centers of Illinois (FCI), five of whom are physicians in the division that provide specialized care for infertile couples as well as the patient with an endocrinopathy. Resident ambulatory experience is at the River North Chicago office as well as other offices of FCI. The rotation focuses on the evaluation and treatment of the infertile female and male, including In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and a wide range of assisted reproductive technologies. Resident experiences include endovaginal sonography, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in gynecologic endocrinopathies, and recurrent pregnancy loss. The resident also participates in the surgical and hospital based patient care that compliments the ambulatory experience. Lectures by the subspecialty physicians occur both in the ambulatory setting as case presentations as well as in the hospital as part of the formal curriculum. Exciting opportunities for resident research exist with the guidance and supervision of the faculty.
