Hydration therapy

Hydration therapy

When drinking liquids isn’t enough to help your body balance fluids on its own, Advocate Health at Home’s certified infusion specialists can provide the hydration therapy your physician ordered in the comfort of your own home.

Our patients

Some patients who benefit from at-home infused hydration therapy include those in the following situations:

  • When the fluids in the total parenteral nutrition therapy (TPN) aren’t enough to sustain body fluid balance
  • When patients experience excessive vomiting or diarrhea from chemotherapy administration
  • When patients experience severe diarrhea from radiation therapy
  • When some expectant mothers experience “Hyperemesis Gravidarum” or severe nausea and vomiting related to their pregnancy
