While most hospice services are provided in the home, sometimes patients receiving hospice care are temporarily moved to a hospital setting where pain or other symptoms may be more easily managed by hospice staff. Your hospice team will discuss any temporary changes with you or your loved one.
Your hospice team can also provide respite care so that caregivers can have a little time away from the day-to-day requirements of caring for a loved one. Hospice care can also be provided in a nursing home setting for a predetermined number of days.
