I believe that the survival of psychotherapy as a psychiatric competence is vital to the future of our field. Therefore, my teaching goal is to help residents gain a comprehension of and technical skill in the complexity of psychotherapy. Getting to know and working with a variety of talented young physicians enriches my professional life. In the teaching process, I invariably learn from them as well and clarify my own thinking.
