Our full range of services and leading specialists make our Dental Center a top Chicagoland source for great oral health. Whether you’re looking for preventative measures or treatment of an existing problem, we'll give you outstanding care for your teeth, gums and mouth.

Our services include:

General dental services including exams, digital x-rays, fillings, crowns, scaling, prophylaxis, partial and full dentures are expertly provided to patients by resident and faculty general dentists. It is recommended that patients visit their dental professional at least twice a year for routine check-ups and cleanings. Schedule an appointment today at the Advocate Dental Center.

Our dental experts use advanced 2D and 3D intra and extra oral imaging to provide patients with high quality diagnostic services which leads to better patient treatment, understanding of recommended treatment options and outcomes. Digital imaging reduces radiation exposure by up to 80% and instantly produces high quality x-ray images of tooth and jaws.

We address patients’ oral hygiene needs and help them prevent dental disease through educational and therapeutic services that include plaque, tartar and stain removal. Oral health directly positively impacts whole body health.

We assist patients selecting affordable and conservative options to address their aesthetic concerns related to the shade, position or appearance of their teeth. Options at our Dental Center include tooth whitening, reshaping bonding, veneers and Invisalign tooth repositioning.

Root canal therapy is required when tooth decay or trauma affects the nerve of a tooth resulting in severe pain and/or infection. Less complex cases can be treated at our Dental Center, but more difficult cases will be referred to a nearby staff endodontist.

Our Dental Center offers implant supported tooth replacement services at affordable fees and our surgical and prosthetic teams use the latest in 3-D implant planning technology to give our patients predictable clinical results. We perform both the surgical placement and restorative phases of treatment.

This orthodontic service relies on a series of clear, custom-molded aligners that gradually reposition patients’ teeth. Treatment includes regular progress checks with a dentist or orthodontist and typically ranges from six months to two years.

Staff oral surgeons work closely with our general dentists to provide a wide range of less complex outpatient oral surgical procedures ranging from extraction of erupted and impacted teeth to biopsy of oral lesions.

More complex cases will be referred to the private practice of a staff oral surgeon or to one of the oral surgeons in the Oral and Maxillofacial Head and Neck Associates (OMHNA)/Oral Cancer Institute group that maintains a private practice at the Advocate Dental Center. The focus of this group is on more advanced oral and maxillofacial surgeries ranging from orthognathic surgery, the treatment of TMJ patients, to treatment of patients with benign and malignant oral-head and neck and salivary gland tumors that may require major reconstructive procedures. To learn more, visit the OMHNA website.

Our Dental Center is staffed with pediatric dental experts who are specially trained in the treatment of children’s and teens’ oral health issues.

Our general dentists collaborate with our periodontists when treating gum disease or placing dental implants to replace missing teeth.

We offer a variety of treatment alternatives for more complex cases related to the replacement of missing teeth, including partial dentures, complete dentures, bridges and implant-supported prostheses. The resident and faculty general dentists develop and execute treatment plans in collaboration with our staff prosthodontist Dr. Jairo Patino.

We offer several safe and comfortable sedation/general anesthesia options to child and adult patients wit dental anxiety, gag reflex sensitivity, extensive treatment cases who experience difficulty achieving effective pain management with traditional anesthetic methods, or who have difficulty tolerating dental procedures.

Nitrous oxide sedation: Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, is a colorless, odorless gas that is inhaled through a mask. Patients often feel relaxed within moments of breathing it, allowing a dentist to provide treatment while they are completely comfortable. The effects of the gas are quickly reversed once the nitrous oxide gas is discontinued and patient is oxygenated.

Conscious IV sedation: This sedation option relaxes eligible patients through medications administered by a dentist anesthesiologist. It allows them to remain conscious and respond to questions. Effects typically subside by the next day. Conscious IV sedation is usually offered when other pain management methods are ineffective.

Deep Sedation/General Anesthesia: This deeper level of anesthesia involves loss of consciousness which is indicated for more extensive dental/surgical procedures and more difficult behavioral management often for younger children and special needs patients.
