Back on your feet faster:

Our leading-edge knee replacements and experienced surgeons help you return back to your life and work quicker with less pain. We offer outpatient primary joint replacements that may allow patients to go home the same day of surgery, and our inpatient procedures typically allow them to:

  • Walk on the day of surgery
  • Go home after one to three days
  • Resume normal activity levels after about two to three months

Full range of options to meet your needs

Sometimes cartilage damage in the knee is limited to one or two surfaces. When this happens, a partial knee replacement/resurfacing (PKR) may be more appropriate for patients. This procedure replaces either the inside or outside part of the knee with an implant. It may delay or avoid the need for a total joint replacement.

During partial knee replacements or resurfacing, our experts use the most advanced techniques to reduce the loss of healthy tissue.

Total knee replacements may be performed if cartilage damage in the knee has occurred on both sides of the joint or in all three joint components. During the surgery, the damaged part of the knee joint is removed from the surface of the bones, and the surfaces are then shaped to match an artificial joint. The artificial joint may then be attached to the thigh bone, shin and knee cap. When fit together, the attached artificial parts for the joint rely on the surrounding muscles and ligaments for support and function.

We use the most contemporary, muscle-sparing techniques during total knee replacements.

We specialize in revision surgery for knee replacements that have become worn out, loose, broken or infected. During these surgeries, our experts use techniques that preserve the most tissue and result in better, longer-lasting outcomes.
