Oral and maxillofacial surgery internship

Program Overview

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center (AIMMC), Department of Dentistry, Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery offers a one-year internship with clinical and didactic responsibilities. These responsibilities will include participation in OR cases, outpatient clinics and inpatient care. We provide a board scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical coverage at AIMMC. Management of head and neck cancer, facial reconstruction, facial asymmetry, TMJ pathology, temporomandibular joint disorder, facial pain, benign maxillofacial lesions, IV sedations, dentoalveolar procedures, dental implants, and facial trauma are some of the services we provide to the Advocate Health network.

As an intern, you will rotate between AIMMC and John H. Jr, Stroger Hospital of Cook County. You will work very closely with AIMMC General Practice residents when on call and in outpatient clinics.

This internship will provide a robust clinical and didactic experience and will be a great steppingstone to residency. The internship will prepare you to be an excellent future oral and maxillofacial surgery resident. We are looking for an extremely motivated, hardworking, and smart resident to represent our service in a large hospital network.
