Advocate Christ Medical Center for prehospital care

Now celebrating 35 years of dedication and education, the Emergency Medical Services Academy at Advocate Christ Medical Center is a leader in providing outstanding training for emergency medical technicians, paramedics and nurses specializing in emergency care. Each year we train more than 2,500 students in Advocate Christ's Level 1 Trauma Center. Students in the program are exposed to thousands of critically injured patients. The medical center offers a hands-on teaching environment and personalized instruction from leaders in trauma and critical care and is a designated Training Center by the American Heart Association.

In addition to offering training and continuing education for medical professionals, the EMS Academy also believes in focusing on educating the community. That is why community-based CPR classes are routinely offered throughout the year to anyone who is interested in acquiring these skills.
