Our gender-affirming services use a multidisciplinary approach guided by our LGBTQ+ task forces, LGBTQ+ Community Advisory Council and the latest World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) standards of care. We welcome you to experience health care that celebrates all of who you are.
Medical care
Our specialists help transgender, gender expansive and nonbinary adults access and obtain the highest quality gender-affirming medical care.

Surgical care
Our expert team of board-certified surgeons helps you transition to your self-identified gender with the support of mental health clinicians along the way.

- Care for all: We have multiple locations throughout Illinois.
- Clinical resources: We offer training in cultural awareness for our teammates and many are members of GLMA, an association for LGBTQ+ and allied health care professionals. Our clinicians are also trained on the safety and health care needs of the LGBTQ+ community.
- Community development: Our community partners include LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Illinois, Howard Brown Health and Equality Illinois.

- Fertility care: Our team of fertility specialists have helped many LGBTQ+ patients achieve their dreams of building a family. We’ll discuss your options, guide you through the process, answer your questions and support your goals along the way.
- Gender-affirming hormones: Our clinicians help you start, manage and monitor gender-affirming hormones, based on your goals. Our highly skilled family medicine, internal medicine, pediatric and endocrinology physicians are ready to help you achieve your goals.
- Pediatric and adolescent gender-affirming health: Pediatric care experts work with patients and families to identify goals, provide education and resources and create a specific plan of care. Services range from simple observation and guidance to puberty suppression and therapy for children of all ages.
- Primary care services: Our primary care physicians support transgender and nonbinary individuals from childhood through adulthood. In most cases, our physicians can manage hormonal therapy as well as other primary care needs.
We support you at all points during your gender-affirmation process and help patients obtain letters of readiness, which are required for some gender-affirming surgeries.
Social workers assist with questions or concerns that may arise throughout your gender-affirmation journey. This includes health insurance, advance directives, transportation, financial difficulties, housing issues, restrictions in activities of daily living, mental health issues, abuse and neglect, and home health.
Our experienced team includes physicians from OB-GYN, family medicine, plastic surgery, endocrinology, internal medicine, otolaryngology, voice and swallow, and urology.
