Resident selection process

The resident selection committee which includes the Chair, Program Director, Program Coordinator, key core faculty and current residents reviews ADEA Postdoctoral Application Support Service (ADEA PASS) applications and conducts virtual visits for applicants. Applicants are screened on various criteria including personal statements, board scores, letters of recommendation from faculty, dean’s letters, CV, and if applicable, class rank and GPA. The committee, led by the Program Director, then extends formal interviews to selected applicants.

The selected group of applicants which typically numbers in the 30-35 range are then invited to participate in a series of virtual interviews, typically conducted in late September through early October. The program for the virtual interviews includes an overview presentation of the program, a virtual tour of facilities conducted by current residents, a separate Q & A session with current residents, and interviews with a faculty group which typically consists of 7 – 10 faculty members. The participating faculty group develops a score for each candidate, and selections are based on those scores. This selection process is consistent with Advocate Aurora Health GME policy.

All applications are received through the American Dental Education Association's WebAdmit PASS.

The PASS ID# for our program is GPR536. We are a non-Match program. For more information, please contact Nikki Pasic, GPR Residency Coordinator at Nikki.Pasic@aah.org
