Aurora Health Care & Advocate Health Care together are Advocate Health, an integrated health care system in Wisconsin and Illinois. Pharmacy residents are based at Advocate Condell Medical Center, a not-for-profit, 275-bed community hospital that provides a full range of services to patients in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Advocate Condell is the largest healthcare provider and the only Level 1 Trauma Center in Lake County, Illinois. In addition, Advocate Condell Medical Center is accredited by DNV Healthcare as a Primary Stroke Center.

How to apply

Each applicant must participate in the Residency Matching Program (the “Match”) and submit their application through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) prior to the application deadline.

The application must include:

  • A letter of interest (stating personal career goals, why they are interested in residency training, what they are looking for in a residency program, and why they are interested in the Advocate Condell Medical Center program)
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Three letters of reference
  • Official pharmacy school transcripts

Applications must be submitted via PhORCAS by January 2.

At the time of hire: Each applicant must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy (or one in process of pursing accreditation) or have a FPGEC certificate from the NABP, eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Illinois and a United States Citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
