Certain cancer therapies may affect the ability of both men and women to have children. At Advocate, we offer a full range of options to preserve fertility before treatment begins, or to start a family after treatment has been completed.

About 5 to 10 percent of all cancers are hereditary. Our Cancer Genetic Risk Assessment Program offers consultation and testing by board-certified genetic counselors for individuals and families concerned about their personal and family history of cancer. This information may be helpful for surveillance and medical management of those who are at risk for cancer.

Dedicated clinics

If your doctor recommends chemotherapy as part of your treatment plan, you don’t have to travel far to get the latest and most effective medications available. Our outpatient infusion clinics offer quick and convenient access to these newer options, with minimal disruption to your daily routine.

Each Clinic offers a complete range of IV therapies, antibiotics and injection services, including supplemental therapies to reduce risk of infection and other potential chemotherapy side effects. You can relax during treatment in comfortable, naturally lit rooms, with plenty of space for family to accompany you and specially trained nurses to meet your needs.

Advocate has established multi-disciplinary clinics for several cancer types, including breast, lung and head and neck. Whether you've been recently diagnosed or need a second opinion, these clinics give you access to a complete team of specialists in a single visit. You'll leave your appointment with a fully personalized treatment plan and the support you need to fight cancer with confidence.
