We can support families to develop better communication with one or another and learn to manage difficult behaviors in an evidence-based and effective way.
Our family counselors and therapists specialize in the following areas:
- Family conflicts – It's common for family members to have disagreements. But, these conflicts can reach a level that is detrimental to the health of individual family members, occasionally becoming physically violent in nature. Our behavioral health professionals help improve family relations by encouraging open communication during counseling for families in order to mediate conflict.
- Child or adolescent behavioral difficulties – Not sure how to handle your child's tantrums? Feeling stuck with how to go about managing your teen's behavior? We may be able to help by providing evidence-based behavioral management coaching to parents, including working with parents and their children together to effect real and lasting change.
- Child trauma – The Advocate Childhood Trauma Treatment Program (CTTP) has been designed and put into place to provide a number of services – assessments, counseling, and prevention – for children, teens, and families that have experienced sexual abuse and maltreatment.
