Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center PGY1 Residency Program will be accepting applications through Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) only.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications to be considered for the program:
- Submit application via PhORCAS by January 2nd
- Participate in the ASHP Matching Program
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy (or one in process of pursuing accreditation) or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP)
- Obtain an Illinois pharmacist license
- United States citizen or permanent resident
- Ability to commit to the residency program for a twelve-month period
The Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center PGY1 Pharmacy Residency program participates in the Residency Matching Program. However, employment as a pharmacy resident is contingent upon the candidate satisfying Advocate Aurora Health’s employment eligibility requirements which includes:
- Employment application/evaluation by Human Resources
- Pre-employment physical and drug screen (urine analysis)
Application Process
Submit application through Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS).
Application should include the following:
- Letter of Intent/Personal Statement specifying:
- Reason for pursuing residency training
- Interest in program
- Areas of clinical interest
- Personal career goals
- Experiences, qualifications, accomplishments and/or skills
- Curriculum vitae
- Three references preferably from clinical preceptors (separate letters not required)
- Verified College of Pharmacy transcript
Candidates will be notified via PhORCAS if they are being offered to interview.
