Application Requirements:
Advocate Lutheran General Hospital utilizes phORCAS for all application material submission.
- Applicants must be graduates of an accredited school of pharmacy, eligible for Illinois licensure and US citizen or permanent resident of the US
- Application materials required: letter of intent, curriculum vitae, pharmacy school transcript, 3 references
- Virtual interview during which candidate will meet with RPD(s), residents, and preceptors as well as receive a virtual tour of the facility
The following information is provided to facilitate the application process:
- Application deadline is January 2nd. All materials are submitted through PhORCAS. Requesting and sending all required application materials expeditiously helps facilitate the screening process and scheduling of interviews. Please request transcripts early – they usually take the longest to send.
- Screening - Upon receipt of residency application materials, all materials will be evaluated to determine the candidates who will be invited for onsite interviews. Examples of screening criteria include participation in organizations, leadership experience, writing style, work experience, community service, grades, and letters of recommendation, etc.
- References - Your references should utilize the evaluation in PhORCAS. Please be sure your references can adequately assess the following:
- Leadership skills
- Strengths and weaknesses
- Professional motivation and commitment
