Advocate Christ Medical Center treats the full spectrum of neurological conditions from stroke to treatment-resistant depression to epilepsy to the most serious spine and brain traumas. Our physicians and programs are nationally recognized:
Renowned stroke program: Certified by DNV Healthcare as a comprehensive stroke center, the highest level awarded. We see six stroke patients per day, more than any center in the Chicagoland area.
Neuro-endovascular team: We performed the second CORDIS ENTERPRISETM Vascular Reconstruction Device and Delivery System procedure in Illinois. Our neurointerventionalists offer breakthrough technologies and procedures to patients. The results are faster recovery times and considerably less rehabilitation
Advanced depression treatment: Designated by the U.S. Federal Drug Administration for the use of trans-magnetic nerve stimulation, a highly successful therapy for treatment-resistant depression.
Multiple sclerosis designation: One of eight programs in Illinois designated as a National Multiple Sclerosis Society treatment center.
Neurocritical Care Unit: Our dedicated multi-disciplinary Neurocritical Care Unit provides intensive care management of patients with life-threatening neurological and neurosurgical illnesses.
Pediatric specialists: Our pediatric neurosurgeons and pediatric neurologists treat the full range of pediatric neurological conditions, including seizures, autism, brain tumors, neuromuscular problems and attention issues.
Rehabilitation:Our physical therapy and rehabilitation program is designed to help patients regain strength and improve their health under the supervision of highly trained staff. This program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
