Support groups at Advocate Sherman Hospital

  • Advance care planning/advance directives: For assistance, contact mission and spiritual care.
  • Bereavement support: For individual or family consultations and referrals, contact mission and spiritual care.
  • Breastfeeding Support Group: Meets every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for parents of infants under 8 weeks of age and 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for parents of infants of all ages.
  • Brain Works Support Group: For people with cognitive or language difficulties due to a medical condition or event. Meets the first Tuesday of every month from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in boardrooms A & B.
  • Stroke Support Group: Meets the second Monday of the month from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in lake level meeting room 1.
  • Survivorship Support Group: For cancer patients to get the connection and support they need. Meets the third Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in lake level meeting room 3.
  • Perinatal and Infant Loss Support Group: Meets virtually the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
  • Ostomy Support Group: Meets the second Wednesday of the month from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in lake level meeting room 1.
