Advocate Children's Emergency Department: Our state-designated advanced pediatric emergency care center treating approximately 21,000 children each year with a number of unique credentials:

• Board-certified (or double-board-certified) physicians, fellowship-trained in emergency medicine, pediatric emergency medicine and/or pediatrics
• Emergency nurses experienced in the latest advances in critical care, many certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Pediatric Critical Care Center, highest designation for specialized pediatric critical and emergency care by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Emergency Medical Services for Children program
• Private, kid-friendly rooms
• After-hours immediate care when your child's regular physician is not available

Emergency Cardiac Center: This dedicated section of the emergency department includes:

• State-of-the-art monitoring systems and diagnostic equipment
• Streamlined care and testing
• Expedited diagnoses
• Comprehensive treatment for heart attack and stroke patients

Specialized care: Highly skilled staff of professionals are board-certified in emergency care.
